Founded by James Lycett, Teign Painting & Decorating started with a simple idea: to combine a designer's eye for colour with the care and craftsmanship of a skilled painter.
After studying Interior Architecture at UWE Bristol and graduating with a BA (Hons) First Class degree, James then spent over seven years in architectural visualisation, creating detailed images that show clients how a space will look before any work begins.
However, he found he was happiest away from the screen and working with his hands. Something as simple as a new colour on your walls can completely change how a room feels, making it brighter, calmer, or more welcoming. Choosing the right shade of paint is just as important applying it.
